ABOUT
Born into a Vaisnava family in Tanzania in 1967, Krsna Kesava dasa soon found himself in London in late 1972. Having attended a Catholic school, he soon found himself drawn to the Roman Catholic faith. In late 1984, he joined the Order of St. Benedict. 10 years later, he left the Church and went to work full time in the big wide world, with many questions, such as “who am I?” and “actually what is my purpose here on this earth?”. In the summer of 2013, he was inspired to listen to the recorded lectures of Srila Prabhupada, and found some answers he did not expect to find. By January 2014, he quickly became a regular member of the congregation at Bhaktivedanta Manor. He has been a member of the residential courses team at Bhaktivedanta Manor and has also been serving at the Mayapur Institute since the winter of 2014, usually spending 4-6 months of every year since then here in the Dham. He joined as a full-time member of MI since November 2018.
SEMINAR
Fulfilling Srila Prabhupada’s Wishes
This seminar asks, how can we fulfil Srila Prabhupada’s wishes in respect of adult spiritual education? What can we do better? This is Srila Prabhupada’s ISKCON, not just ours and he should be at the very heart of our education programmers. We will look at his instructions (letters, film footage, writings, pastimes) and how we can follow them into the future through systematic study and reading of his books. We will also show through his teachings that collaborative working across ISKCON will strengthen our education programmers for future generations, and how his spirit of honesty, compassion and good governance should be the guiding force behind our spiritual education system for adults, new devotees and the future leaders of ISKCON.
