Revati Raman das was born in a Sri Vaishnava Family and has always been a dynamic, straightforward, and enthusiastic person. He holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering. He came in contact with ISKCON in 1988 when he read Srila Prabhupada’s The Science of Self-Realization and was initiated by H.H. Jayapataka Swami not long after. Three years later, he resigned his job as the superintendent of the multinational, BOSCH, and devoted his life completely to spreading Krishna consciousness. He served in the Bangalore temple until 1996, and is now the temple president of ISKCON Tirupati. With his firm faith in the distribution of Srila Prabhupada’s books, his sincere presence at temple programs, and his ability to build teams among the temple brahmacharis and congregation, he built a beautiful temple in Tirupati and offered it to ISKCON in 2007. He loves cows and believes that if devotees care for the cows, they themselves will naturally become happy and satisfied. Revati Raman serves as a Zonal Secretary for ISKCON temples in Andhra Pradesh, is a member of the ISKCON Bureau, Director for ISKCON Food Relief Foundation (Andhra Pradesh), and the chair of the GBC Devotee Care Committee.
