Engaging Devotees According to Their Nature
ISKCON devotees can do anything in emergencies or for a short time; but for the long run it’s best to engage individuals in ways compatible with their psycho-physical temperament. There are negative consequences – for the person and for the movement – in acting otherwise (and we have ample examples of this). Leaders should understand what they can expect from devotees, so as to minimize frustration – for both leaders and subordinates. Better that devotees serve according to their nature. But how to determine someone’s nature? This seminar introduces Vedic and contemporary tools to identify one’s svabhava (acquired personality). Knowing whom we are dealing with will help everyone, leaders and followers, to grow, be more productive and become happier.
