SEMINAR

East Meets West: Following in the Footsteps of Srila Prabhupada in Spreading Krishna Consciousness Around the World

Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu and Srila Prabhupada gave the instruction that all his followers, especially those born in India, perform high welfare activities by spreading Krishna consciousness all over the world. Srila Prabhupada successfully exemplified this principle by demonstrating how to combine the forces of the West and India to build ISKCON around the world. In this seminar we will explore this essential instruction and example of Srila Prabhupada. We will consider how to globally apply this principle from 2020 into the future, giving particular attention to develop a unified ISKCON around the world. We will reflect and discuss how ISKCON India and ISKCON in Western countries can develop active cooperation and work together to revive the expansion of Krishna consciousness around the world. Moreover, we will consider the challenges we would have to deal with, and our approach to respond to these challenges, if we decide to pursue this path.
